  • Bypassing your company’s web filter

    Bypassing your company’s web filter

are you trying to go to facebook or watch porn at work and are being blocked by your company’s firewall or web filter?

SSH tunneling is your way to get unfiltered web access at work, just don’t get caught.

The ssh daemon/service is usually more known with Linux systems. When SSHed in at work, I had a couple of the guys that were more familiar with linux see my command shell to my windows box and ask “are you SSHed into a windows box?” and I reply “why yes I am”

So this is what you need:

    one internet connection
one windows box (xp will work, im pretty sure these two programs install on XP)
    winSSHD
    CCproxy
    SSH client (putty, openSSH)
    a router/firewall that can NAT/port forward TCP port 22

Download winSSHD here and CCproxy here. Install Both.

winSSHD can be left alone with default configuration. CCproxy has to be configured to run as a service and a port, i used 8080.

Port forward/NAT TCP port 22 to your SSH server.

On your workstation at work or school. install putty or openSSH client. I use openSSH, it’s command line. OSX already has SSH client commands installed but I use Jellyfissh to manage my SSH tunnels.

once installed open a command window and type:
    ssh -f xx.xx.xx.xx(your public IP) -L 8080:(IP address of the SSH server):8080 username(username on server) -N
The command should look something like this:
    ssh -f 12.63.58.112 -L 8080:192.168.0.2:8080 administrator -N
It should say something about a key, just type yes.
then it should ask you for a password. if it failed it will tell you, if it connected it won’t say anything.

Now you have to configure your browser to use a proxy on the loopback address(127.0.0.1) and use port 8080.

Now if you go to ipchicken you should see the IP address of your internet connection at home and not your works IP address.

  • Android OS with SonicWALL L2TP server

Android OS with SonicWALL L2TP server

The main thing about the droid is that is uses xauth, DES for phase 2 of the IPsec negotiation, and L2TP has to be configured on the Sonicwall.

On the Droid the settings are pretty basic.

In the Droid go to settings > Wireless & Networks > VPN settings

Add VPN > add L2TP/IPsec PSK VPN

    VPN name: office

VPN server: vpn.office.com or IP address

IPsec pre-shared key: enter the shared secret off the general tab of the WAN GroupVPN

Make sure the L2TP secret is disabled

The DNS search domains is optional .

    Sonicwall configuration:

On the Sonicwall go to VPN > settings and edit the WAN GroupVPN. On the General Tab make up a pre-shared key.

On the proposal tab change the encryption for phase 2 to DES. You can leave the lifetime at defaults.

On the Advanced tab, enable XAuth and set the user group to Trusted users.

On the Client tab, allow connects to: all secured gateways, and enable set default route as this gateway.

Now under VPN > L2TP server, configure a L2TP IP pool that is on a different subnet that your LAN. L2TP has to route.

Go to Users > Local Users. Add a new user, goto the VPN access tab and give the user access to firewall subnets, L2TP pool and WAN Remote Access Networks.

Make sure you reconfigure a default outbound NAT policy to nat the L2TP clients out. This can be done just by changing the inbound interface to any. Some versions of firmware will make a L2TP outbound NAT policy for you.

If you run into any issue don’t forget to check the logs on the sonicwall.

Sorry i don’t have any pretty pictures for you to follow. If you have any issues please don’t contact me. I will not answer.

“…speaker-shaking bass lines and big-time breakbeats that kept the crowd dancing through every element of his ever-evolving set… glitched out hip-hop, cut-up vocals, reggae twists and all the grime you’d ever need or want on a Saturday night in the city.” ~Duke LaRock, sinninginla.com

iLL.Gates is a Toronto-based composer, performer and educator. Over the past 15 years, he has established a global fanbase and a reputation as one of the most dynamic electronic music artists around. He regularly tours across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. Gates has headlined at such festivals as Burning Man, Shambala, the World Electronic Music Festival and the New Orleans Jazz Festival. iLL.Gates has enjoyed a thriving creative partnership with Lorin Bassnectar, including a chart-topping remix of “Maximum” by DJ Vadim that sold so fast on Beatport, the duo were accused of chart-hacking.

His first full-length release, Autopirate (Muti Music, 2008), reached #1 on many esteemed charts; and continues to sell strongly. Many of his contemporaries cite Gates (aka The Phat Conductor) as a key artistic influence and inspiration in their music. While on tour, Gates frequently teaches workshops to grateful and attentive audiences, in which he shares his highly effective approach to producing quality finished music as well as insights into the mentality and strategies necessary to succeed in the music business.

  • EL-P

    EL-P

Chin Chin – GG and the Boys(EL-P Remix)

    EL-P – Whores the Movie

The son of Jazz pianist Harry Keys (born Harry Meline), El-P became involved with the hip hop culture of New York City at an early age. After being expelled from several schools for problems with authority, Meline decided to pursue a career in music. At his 18th birthday party, he met Mr. Len, whom he had hired as a DJ for the night. The two quickly became friends and formed Company Flow in 1993. They released their first vinyl single, “Juvenile Techniques”, in 1993. Bigg Jus later complemented the group and in 1996 the trio released its debut EP, Funcrusher. Subject to a major-label bidding war after the success of the EP, Company Flow waited until it could get a contract on its own terms. The group eventually signed with Rawkus Records, and released its debut full-length album, Funcrusher Plus (1997).

After an instrumental album called Little Johnny From the Hospitul: Breaks & Instrumentals Vol.1 (1999), also on Rawkus, disagreements between El-P and the label led to Company Flow leaving Rawkus. El-P then decided to start his own record label, Definitive Jux (known informally as Def Jux, and extra-formally as Definitive Juxtapositions), and because of critically acclaimed albums such as Cannibal Ox’s The Cold Vein (produced by El-P) and Aesop Rock’s Labor Days, the label quickly rose to prominence.

Company Flow (now only El-P and Mr. Len) dissolved amicably in 2001 and the following year El-P released his debut solo album, Fantastic Damage, to wide critical acclaim. In 2004, El-P collaborated with the Blue Series Continuum for a jazz-fusion album titled High Water, which received favorable reviews from both the hip hop and jazz worlds, as well as from more mainstream critics independent of both scenes. 2005 saw the release of Collecting the Kid, an odds-and-ends assortment including work from High Water and Bomb The System, in addition to several songs of unknown provenance. El-P’s second proper studio album, I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead, was released on March 20, 2007. It generally received very favorable reviews and became El-P’s most commercially successful album to date, peaking at #78 on the U.S. Billboard 200.

El-P has been involved in at least two notable Hiphop feuds (or beefs): one with anticon. emcee Sole, in which El-P incorporated a taped telephone conversation that took place with an eager-to-reconcile Sole into a diss track, which he titled “Linda Tripp,” for the damning effect of his inclusion of the surreptitious recording. The second involved Boston emcee Esoteric of the group 7L & Esoteric. This feud included various Definitive Jux artists and members of the Demigodz.

El-P has contributed productions and guest rhymes to albums by DJ Krush, Aesop Rock, Murs, Cage, Mr. Lif, Prefuse 73, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Mike Ladd, The High and Mighty, Jedi Mind Tricks, Aceyalone, Atmosphere, and Techno Animal. He collaborated with Alec Empire on the first Handsome Boy Modeling School album and with Cage and Chino Moreno on the second. He was selected, along with DJ Shadow, to work on Rage Against the Machine frontman Zach de la Rocha’s solo album (which never materialized). He has provided remixes for the likes of Beans (of Anti-Pop Consortium), Beck, Blackalicious, Head Automatica, Hot Hot Heat, Syd Matters, Nine Inch Nails, Push Button Objects, Rob Sonic, TV on the Radio, and Yasushilde, among others. El-P also provided the soundtrack for the graffiti film Bomb the System.

As of October 2009, El-P is working on his third studio album, tentatively titled Cancer for Cure

When i first heard the guy back in 2003, i didn’t like him. Guess it was because my ear wasn’t really open to new music and i was still watching MTV… DOOM has a style and babbling wordplay that most people don’t like i guess. How most of his rhymes are nonsense, which is the part about him I think I like the most. Anyway, here are some tracks i have never heard before i found on the hype machine. enjoy.

  • One of the best hip-hop albums..

One of the best hip-hop albums..

Wondering if there was ever gonna be another cannibal ox album, I started searching through hypem.com. I found this track which pointed me to this blog, which I’ll just repost, but it’s a interview with Vast Aire with a comment from EL-P. It was very disappointing.

i would like to say i never started any beef, but i will put an end to it
im going to answer some questions from the fans so a basic understanding can be reached.

WHY DID YOU LEAVE DEF JUX? AND WHEN?

I left def jux in late 2002 / 2003, i started working on my lp “Look Mom No Hands”
at this time, me and camu {SA SMASH} were living together in BKNY. camu was working on “Smashy Trashy” his only lp on Def jux. at the time, Def jux was trying to expand their amount of artist, and they started giving out “recording advances”. at the time COLD VEIN had sold over 100,000 cd’s and a maxi single of the F-word sold about 30,000 at the time {140,000 records sold}.

    can ox at the time didnt have a “deal”, we recorded everything as friends, but we blew up over night, and def jux didnt know how to handle it, so you can imagine that can ox was mad! {CAN OX WAS ONLY MAKING MONEY FROM SHOWS}

we built this label with you {el-p} but your giving money to outsiders first????
    DEF JUX SHOULD HAVE PAID CAN OX AND RJD2 BEFORE YOU PAID MURS AND 9TH WONDER, C-RAYZ AND ETC? {PEACE TO THEM, IM JUST MAKING A POINT}

at this time, dj Mr Len told me that El-p’s biz-partner {DEF JUX / OZONE} Ameechi stole $5000 from co-flow, and this is why MR LEN didnt hang around or do cuts for def jux any more!!!!

so, its 3 years after my great lp {cold vein} blows up, but el-p and ameechi dont have any money for me and vordul??????? but more than 5 groups are getting advances????

AND MR LEN SAID $5000 WAS GONE! DUE TO AMEECHI!???

THAT STARTED A HUGE BEEF! me and el-p had some VERBAL fights, and i moved to red hook brooklyn. this is when me camu and metro had a crib, they moved from ohio to do their lp for def jux,
CAN OX GOT A LAWYER AND THEIR MONEY…but the vibe was different, its like when your girl friend catches you cheating, its never the same after that! we should have never had to chase our own money!!!! we could record as friends, but when it was time to pay me i was told to get a lawyer?????

so we {can ox} wanted to move forward, but when it wasnt the biz problems, we had creative problems and lack of control.

El-p is a control freak, if he cant produced every song, he starts to throw fits! at this time {2003} im getting crazy ill beats from Mf doom, Madlib, Ayatollah Camu tao etc.

i wasnt thinking about el-p, his sound was dope, but its was limited. it was the same type of style, i wanted something new, and i wanted control! hence the name LOOK MOM NO HANDS! all that meant was “freedom” at def jux in those days, el-p was censoring a line or 2 out of dudes rhymes. i watched him do it to camu tao and vordul mega!

el-p told camu tao he could not “slap a girl” in his rap song, and he told vordul “you put to many ‘nigga’s’ in your raps”

the last thing i needed was some emo white kid telling me how many ‘niggas’ i can have in my rap songs! and one of my favorite hip hop songs is “top billing” and in that song milk says very clearly “if your girl is out of line…its your girl i slap” and as far as black people using the word ‘nigga’ Q-tip already broke that down! so ME CAMU AND VORDUl hated that day! this is why i left def jux bad biz and lack of creative control!

WHAT WENT DOWN WITH CAN OX’S 2ND RECORD?

To be real, we started that project, but vordul dropped the ball on that, vordul became very distant and was drunk and coked up all the time, he became this way after his jaw was broken in a bar fight that was ment for el-p. long story short, that helped wake up vorduls “dark side” and we only did like 5 songs. El-p got mad at me as if i should have been vordul’s baby sitter! vordul is a grown man, he made his choices, dont get mad at me! so then we had our final fall out and the last thing we recorded was Mr Lif’s songs “Brothaz rmx wit can ox” me and vordul are cool, and we still are recording! thats my family! he’s on my new lp “OX 2010″

WHY DID YOU LEAVE WEATHERMEN CREW?

AT THIS TIME….I WASNT ON DEF JUX BUT I WAS STILL A WEATHERMAN MEMBER!

I did a Tour with SSS {TAME ONE AND D-DONS in late 2006} with my homie 4th p, it was called the teen wolf tour, it was fun and cool, but then it turned for the worst!

cage claims i took money from yak ballz and tame one????

according to whom since cage wasnt on the tour?????

    the tour was set up for me to get an average of about $850 a night {i was told i was going to get $1000 to head line, but i left it alone because im wit my peoples, SO I THOUGHT}

one of the shows was not part of the tour, it was a show i already had as a solo artist, but i added it to the tour {teen wolf tour} long story short, I should have gotten $900 dollars that night, but yak ballz felt i should take $750. now….i understand yak ballz was paying for extra gas {and i was also} and i understand that yak was feeding Tame one {and so was i} but he had no right to to try and get more money from a show that was never his? he got the same money he got every night, that $150 or $75 bucks had nothing to do with him? AND ITS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO STEAL MY OWN MONEY!

so if that makes me a crook, then im muthafuckin robin hood!

i dont have anything to hide! i gave yak the $150 THE NEXT DAY! we had 4 more shows and i wanted to dead the beef, but i made it clear it was my money to begin with!

also on that same tour we had dinner at a mexican spot, and we all are talking about projects etc. i told every one at the table {yak included} that i didnt like aesop’s new lp at the time {bazooka tooth} I LOVE AESOP! but i didnt like that record, all i said was “you cant hear his words anymore” and yak turned that into me being a hater!!!!

meanwhile all these bitch emo kids do is talk shit about you in emails, blogs and or 2-ways!

Tame showed me a 2-way convo with cage trying to get votes to kick me out of weathermen! THATS RIGHT TAME SHOWED ME A 2-WAY EMAIL WIT CAGE TRYING TO VOTE ME OUT! SO BEFORE THE ELECTION WAS DONE, I LEFT THE NEW LEFT. BECAUSE I KNEW THEY WERE ALL FAKES.

AT THE END OF THE DAY IF CAMU HATED ME, WHY IS HIS RIGHT HAND MAN {METRO} CLOSE FRIENDS WITH ME AND IS ON MY NEW LP? WHY AM I STILL COOL WITH ALL OF CAMU’S OHIO PEOPLES LIKE BIG JT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    METRO IS PROOF THAT ME AND CAMU WERE GOOD, HOW ELSE DID I GET MY BEATS FOR MIGHTY JOSEPH {BLOOD SPORT PROD BY CAMU!}

THE ONLY LIARS AND CROOKS HERE ARE THESE EMO BITCHES!

    he worked with NECRO?
    and HIGH AND MIGHTY?
    …ONLY TO TURN ON THEM???
HE TURNED ON COPY, MASAI BEY, B.M.S. SPACE AND ME!

JUST THINK ABOUT HOW CAMU FELT WHEN EL-P’S CENSORSHIP DESTROYED SMASHY TRASHY THE LP! CAMU HATED DEF JUX’S CENSORSHIP, IF HE HATED ANYTHING AT ALL!

WHAT TYPE OF RECORD LABEL IS THAT???

AND I CANT BE DOWN WITH A CREW OF “YES MEN”
IF I DONT LIKE YOUR BEAT I DONT LIKE IT, YOU FUCKING EMO BITCH!
AND EL-P IS A BITCH BECAUSE HE KNOWS CAGE SHITTED ON HIM!!!! BUT HE KISSES HIS ASS!
ANY REAL FAN CAN LOOK AT THE PATTERNS AND FIGURE IT OUT!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, I HAVE A SECRET UNRELEASED “BLAIR COSBY” SONG OF CAMU TAO DISSING DEF JUX AND EL-P!

BUT, DID I RELEASE IT, NO!

IM GONNA LET THEM KEEP DIGGING THEIR SHIT HOLE

  • Remix Session!

    Remix Session!

Nocando‘s Hurry Up & Wait is the first single of the the LA rapper’s first album Jimmy the Lock. The remix keeps it in the “LA underground family”– featuring Murs, Intution, Dumbfounded, and Open Mike Eagle. Not much changes on the production, the only difference being the addition of the verses–Murs‘ verse standing out in my opinion. Really diggin this sort of “odd-ball” style these LA cats are bringing to the table, check the remix out below:
